Otmar Wagner (1966) lives and works in Vienna. Since the 1990es, he has worked with Europe as a construct; a political, cultural, and physical body. A place divided by walls, penetrated by circuits in which political and other diseases flow. As within a physical body the materials are animated and transformed in circulatory systems.
Otmar Wagner is a performanceartist, who has shown solo works and collaborated with other artists all over Europe, in various formats between sound, essays, concert performances and installations where the objects perform, too.
Friisland is a new gallery in Nordhavn, opposite the future art center Tunnelfabrikken. Friisland belongs to Live Art Denmark, which since 2004 has introduced the Danish art scene to a wide range of international and performative artists and formats. At Friisland you will meet international artists in residences, who mix a physical installation format with virtual performances inside and outside the building.
The exhibition is supported by The Danish Art Council and the Embassy of Austria.
Free entrance.
Opening hours during Art Week: 1-3 Oct 12-16.
