Bartender or cocktailprinter? Svend Sømod and Art Week invites you to a multisensory cocktail lounge, where your refreshments are stirred by the amazing cocktail printer. Enjoy the sound of Icelandic Sexy Lazer, while you drink your art.
Functioning as an informal meeting point for Art Week at Nikolaj Kunsthal, Svend Sømod exhibits his multisensory cocktail lounge.
The soundscape complementing the cocktails is created in collaboration with the Icelandic musician Sexy Lazer. The music and the light comes alive in the room as part of the mixtape’s programming, when the tune changes, the speaker’s behavior changes as well and thus a dynamic music experience is created.
The bartender is not a human being, but one of Sømod’s latest inventions; The Cocktail Printer. It has a memory of every cocktail you’ve ever heard about, but makes none of them. Instead, it keeps on inventing new refreshments based on tons of algorithms predicting balance and well-tasting combinations.
